Episode 1: First day on the job

The USS Vostok was anchored in space dock. It was little more than a saucer section from an Enterprise class with warp nascles attached. It was part of Starfleet's new plan of faster, smaller, cheaper; with so much galaxy left to explore first hand, Starfleet's exploration arm decided it would be best served by spreading the galaxy full of ships with the purpose of making as many discoveries as possible.

The Vostok was apart of this plan and was crewed with a basic compliment of freshly graduated Starfleet students to run the ship effectively. Runabouts hurried to and fro from the various space docks and space stations like tiny little ants. It was a marvelous sight. The Vostok, though simple looking, it was a special sight especially to those who were going to serve aboard the ship.
